Long time no see!

Faize and his curious outfit caught my eye when I was playing through Star Ocean: The Last Hope a couple of years ago. However, I didn't feel like I had the time or skills to cosplay him back then. Last winter, when I was browsing through my reference folder and trying to decide what to go with for the Finnish Nordic Cosplay Championship preliminaries, I remembered how much I liked Faize and figured he was a character I could think up a skit for.

This costume ended up being one of my most time-consuming projects so far, and putting together a solo skit for the first time was quite a learning experience, but I'm very pleased with the results (and ended up placing third in the contest too). Tentative plans say I'll be part of a group with four other playable characters sometime next year, so I'm really looking forward to wearing this again...!
