Hopeful princess

EDIT: I noticed the glove designs were all warped O.o Fixed that.

Wow, I finally submitted something.

...This thing took way too much time. O.o Zelda's design is pretty darn detailed, and I really went all out on this one. Some close-ups of the details: [link]

I'm quite happy with how the princess turned out. The shading turned out nice enough, and the details were fun to do.

As for the background...
DEAR STONE TILES, I HATE YOU. Every time I have to paint tiles, I feel like taking a long break. I really never want to do it, which usually results in not wanting to finish the painting in question. XD;

The BG and the atmosphere were supposed to be completely different at first, and as such I'm not 100% happy with this piece, but it works.

Hm, I might mess around with the hues, I think it's a bit too reddish. :/

As a side note, this totally goes with my ALttP Zelda painting: [link] I should start a "Princesses at the courtyards" -series or something.

Likewise, if you like it, it would be nice if you told me what do you like about it, instead of just saying 'awesome', 'cool', 'cute', etc. ^^
